WIMAX
In 2008 i have followed the commercial launch of the WiMAX service by Linkem. Since then, I have been desigining and following the realization, still on going, of the WiMAX network deployment on the entire nation, based on two different vendors. In the meantime i have coordinated the deployment of the core network servers such as AAA, DHCP and ASN.
I have managed to finalize the choice, followed by the deployment, of a complex BSS/OSS system based on several applications that deeply interface with the central provisioning systems.
I have carried on a re-organization of the second level customer support, a group of engineers that is dedicated to the technical issues, obtaining a 50% reduction of the open tickets.
HIPERLAN
In 2004 i have followed the startup of the commercial offer regarding wireless connectivity in italian digital-divide areas. I have studied and obtained certifications on Hiperlan technology, finding its application in the company business core. I have also designed and realized the VoIP platform for residential and business customers based on wireless transport layer. I have built several solutions in order to rationalize different services such as a monitoring platform, based on opensource solutions, an SMTP server and an SMS-sending solution.
System administrator at Megabeam Italia spa (now Linkem spa)

In 2003-2004 i have followed the startup of Megabeam Italia spa (now known as Linkem spa) by launching the wifi commercial service. During the startup phase, i have coordinated and implemented the access control platform based on advance technologies such as One Time Password (sent via SMS) and SIM Authentication (EAP/SIM), all based on a distributed platform on BSD/Linux.
I have designed and realized the e-commerce platform (PHP/MySQL) on which all the wifi accounts are still being sold to the customers. I have managed the interoperability between our authentication platform and national operators platforms (TIM, Vodafone, Telecomitalia, BT, Wind) as well as international operators platforms (iPass, GoRemote, Boingo, Trustive, Teliasonera) in order to have the wholesale service up and running.

We've created the business model and developed the first website. My main responsabilities were technical development, integration with databases as well as scouting new web technologies.
